Welcome to the Order of Boiled Owls of New York website!

About Us

The Order of Boiled Owls of New York is an Amateur Radio Contest and DX Club in existence since 1954. We are based in downstate New York with most members living in the New York City / Long Island section and some in the Eastern New York section. Our primary interest is radiosport (Amateur Radio contesting). Because we hold our monthly meetings in each other's homes, the size of our membership is limited. However, we are always looking for up-and-coming contesters to join our group. If you are interested in contesting and share our values of honesty, integrity, respect and friendliness, please contact us for more information.

Members and Meetings

Membership in the Order of Boiled Owls is limited as we meet in each other's homes. Therefore, the roster is limited to maximum average number that could fit in a given member's house. Historically, this number has been 15 or less. See our Owls Membership Roster for a full membership list. Monthly meetings are held at the homes of our members on a rotating basis. The next meeting is Monday, September 9, at KC2KY or on Zoom.
